Ethical Fashion Africa
This bag has been 'made with love' in Kenya, as part of the United Nations Initiative to empower artisans to earn from their skills.
Cotton canvas, leather, metal fastenings
Vivienne Westwood's bags have specifically been made in Nairobi by marginalised women, including single mothers, widows and HIV/AIDs victims. Through their involvement with Vivienne Westwood they learn new skills which they can pass onto future generations. The goal is very much ‘work and not charity’.
The handpainted tartan duffle rucksack is fastened with a self-tie drawstring closure. It is fully lined and has a zipped internal pocket. The look is completed with the handmade brass orb detailed to one corner.
Dimensions: H35cm x W36cm x D16cm (adjustable shoulder straps at full extension 40cm)
Due to the nature of the handmade orbs and use of recycled fabrics, this bag may have some marks from its former life and slight variations in colour from the image shown. Should you require any assistance with this contact firstname.lastname@example.org
